Why should you join the Digital team at the NHSBSA - video transcript

"What makes working for NHSBSA so unique?"

"The people that I get to work with every single day; the passion that they bring into the work that they do, you know. I'm inspired by the work that people do. I find that the department is made up of people who just really care. And you can see that through their dedication, their effort. They're like the family that you're allowed to pick. It is that fact that we all work together, and everyone plays to their strengths. And we allow that autonomy."

"How does NHSBSA facilitate remote working?"

"As long as people have the equipment to do what they need to do, they can work from anywhere. It hasn't impacted productivity at all because people can work and design their own hours. We've been able to leverage different technologies, to ensure that as an organisation we've been able to continue to deliver the critical systems that we're responsible for."

"How is career development supported?"

"Training is really important for us and people development is really important. It's certainly an organisation where if you've got aspirations, and you're willing to put in the work, and try different things - then the NHS Business Services Authority is definitely an organization that can support you to achieve your goals."

"What's the biggest thing you've learned since joining NHSBSA?"

"That the NHS isn't just medical and clinical. The NHS is much bigger and wider than that and some of the services that we provide people take for granted. Services that we do deliver, enable access to healthcare and the public services which people need - critical infrastructure for the UK."

"What inspires you working at NHSBSA?"

"We embed user research and empathy with users in everything that we do. Then we can connect to what the service does for those users and the impact that it has upon them, and that's inspiring to see. And I've met some fantastic people that I’m in awe of. Their skills, their dedication, the way that they work is amazing I've really enjoyed that."
